Settlements and Subgrade Reactions of Surface Raft Foundations Subjected to Vertically Uniform Load

چکیده

The settlements and corresponding soil reactions of a surface raft foundation subjected to vertically uniform load at the sites granular or cohesive soils have been qualitatively introduced engineers in past. This study intends verify load-response mechanism using three-dimensional finite-element analyses. Mohr–Coulomb model was used simulate nonlinear effects soils. coefficients subgrade were back-calculated compared those obtained from rigid model. For all square rafts studied, non-uniform with largest value center can be found. smallest located clay, found rather consistent. larger would changed according stiffness dimensions. sand, on appeared insignificant. generally higher varied large edge. more consistent values occurring center. results this indicate that is complicated.
